OPI Grape... Set... Match

Grape... Set... Match was released in Summer 2011 as part of the Serena Williams Glam Slam! England Collection. I've not always been very happy with OPI lately, but when they get it right, they get it very, very right.

What we have here is a warmer leaning, red-based purple that is packed with purple and blue shimmer. I would classify this as a foil based on the application and the fact that it dries very smooth and not at all gritty.

I used three coats here. I probably could have gotten away with two, but I wanted to make sure that I showed the true depth of the color in the pictures, so three coats it was. Drying time was good, even with three coats. Here's a macro shot that shows the different colors of shimmer pretty well.

Grape... Set... Match (which could win an award for most annoying name to type repeatedly) also almost has a slight duochrome thing going on where it flashes from light purple to dark purple.

And here are some pictures of it out in the sunshine. It's really such a beauty. If you like purples, I would grab this one!

Happy Saturday, and as always, thanks for stopping by! Pin It

  4. @Pani Skeffington LOL! Should I plan a week of ugly colors just for you?? =)

  5. I think I might need this set :S

  6. @ReecesPeeces I would say so. The glittah in it is awesome too!

  7. Oh wow this looks good on you. The colors remind me of royal velvet...

  8. @cilucia Thankies! It really is stunning, though I feel like Royal Velvet pulls more blue on me than this one.
