Etude House BL009

This is from my Singapore swap that I posted about yesterday. I first saw this polish in the very early days of my lurking on the nail board, and I really never thought I'd have the opportunity to have it. Funny how these longtime lemmings have a way of finding their way to us when we least expect it. =) This polish is absolutely stunning, deep blue with an insane green shimmer that also looks blue in some lights.

And look at the bottle! There are a few US companies that have interesting bottles, but not many. I just love that a polish this beautiful also lives in a bottle this beautiful.

The shots I took in my lightbox show what the polish looks like indoors for me - almost blackened at the edges of the nail with that amazing glow in the center of the nail.

Outside in the sun, the shimmer is just off the charts. I actually squealed when I saw it outside for the first time.

This is my first Etude House, and aside from the amazing color, the polish itself is fantastic. It has a flat brush, but one that's on the narrower side (not like those mops in the Sally Hansen polishes). The brush makes it very easy to control the polish, and I barely had to do any clean up. Honestly, I probably could have done just one coat, but I always feel like I get better wear with two. But this baby is highly pigmented and not in the least bit sheer or runny or splotchy or anything obnoxious. Just a great polish.

Hope you all have had a pleasant weekend, and thanks for stopping by! =D

Why I Love Swapping

Swapping is a HUGE part of what I love about my polish hobby. It's a way for me to connect with women all over the globe who share this passion, and it's a great way for both sides of the equation to get their hands on polish that we never would have had access to. My latest international swap was with my buddy over at Happyberrynaiad. I was able to squash some long time lemmings through this swap, and got some gorgeous polishes I didn't even know existed. Thanks, sweetie!

For starters, she sent me some awesome extras from Singapore.

Yes, the brand of these lollipops is Cowhead. I love this. =D

Then, the pretties that she sent me.

And, of course, swatches!
